After years of meeting in the granary, a barn, private homes, and a schoolhouse, the church was built in the spring and summer of 1874. Krogness, who served congregation from 1870 until the summer of 1874. He was succeeded by Rev. C. B. Jacobsen, who preached his first sermon to the congregation. Oct. 18, 1874. Prof. S. R. Gunderson served the congregation for a short term. (Bostad was there from 76 to 77) Rev. N. C. Brun delivered his introductory sermon as pastor on Sunday, Sept. 30, 1877. 1877-1879 Shelly, MN Pastors have served Sand Hill congregation in the order of their services are: Pastors B. Hagebo, O. Anderson, Ralph L. Okland. 1879-1880 Grue, Dakota Territory The first pastor to serve this congregation was Rev. O.H. Bostad. He served from the year 1879 to August 8, 1880.
